Art: The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Creativity: The ability to produce original and unusual ideas, or to make something new or imaginative.
Artist: A person who practices any of the various creative arts, such as a sculptor, novelist, poet or filmmaker.

Week 1-2: Photography
Composition: The placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art, as distinct from the subject. The term composition means "putting together" and can apply to any work of art, from music to writing to photography, that is arranged using conscious thought.
Portfolio: An edited collection of an artist's best artwork intended to showcase their style or method of work. A portfolio is used by artists to show employers their versatility by showing different samples of current work.
Medium: Refers to the materials that are used to create a work of art. The plural of medium is media.
Week 2-3: Coil Method
Coil Method: A clay-building process using coils or ropes of clay.
Extruder: A tool used to create objects of a fixed cross-sectional profile
Rubber Kidney: A pottery-shaping tool that is in the shape of a kidney
Potter's Needle: A needle-like tool used for cutting and shaping clay.
Ribbon Tool: A tool used to trim pots and hollow out handmade shapes. Also known as loop tools.
